about
Who are we?
Amine Khettat, advocate for digital accessibility for visually impaired people
I am Amine Khettat, CEO and co-founder of Blind Systems, a company specialised in digital accessibility for visually impaired people. My journey, deeply marked by passion and resilience, is a story of constant adaptation and self-transcendence. Holding a research-master’s level (BAC+8 equivalent) in electronic and automation engineering, my visual impairment emerged during my doctoral research. Far from discouraging me, this challenge fuelled my ingenuity and reinforced my determination to pursue a career in a field that has fascinated me since childhood. In 2017, when I lost my sight completely, I had to mobilise even more of my inner and technological resources to keep practising my profession with the same passion and effectiveness.
Over the years I have built more than 15 years of experience in electronics and automation, progressively moving towards research and development of accessible solutions for visually impaired people. This mission has become the beating heart of Blind Systems: building tools that make autonomy accessible to everyone.
My resilience does not stop at my professional career. Married and father of a son, I have also found the balance needed for a fulfilling family life — proof that disability, far from being a limit, can be a powerful driver of creativity and innovation.
Music has also held a fundamental place in my journey. A musician and singer since the age of 10, I led a professional artistic career during my studies. Today I share that passion as co-founder and artistic director of the association Culture Musique, where I have voluntarily given weekly music lessons since 2014.
Blind Systems embodies this vision: turning challenges into opportunities, making technology accessible, and inspiring everyone to push beyond their limits. With enthusiasm and determination, I invite you to join us on this human and technological adventure.
