BLIND SYSTEMS

RGAA and WCAG accessibility statement

Our approach, verification status and ways to report a difficulty.

Statement first published on 10 September 2026 and updated on 13 September 2026. It covers the French and English versions of the BLIND SYSTEMS website, blindsystems.org.

We work to make our information, contact options and project presentations usable without relying on sight, a mouse or a large screen.

Conformance status

Accessibility: non-conformant with RGAA — a full audit has not been completed. Our targets are RGAA 4.1.2 and WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The checks performed so far do not cover every applicable criterion. We therefore do not publish a conformance percentage or claim partial or full conformance.

Checks performed and method

On 13 September 2026, all 46 published pages and 6 articles were checked with axe-core 4.13 at widths of 390 and 1,440 pixels. Missing section headings were added to six pages. These technical checks cover automated WCAG A and AA rules, page structure, labels and horizontal overflow.

Additional checks cover the skip link, mobile menu, keyboard focus, error messages in both contact forms, and privacy choices using Tab, Enter, Space and Escape. Layout and increased text spacing are examined at 320, 768 and 1,440 pixels. Elementor’s desktop, tablet and mobile previews were also used to check the footer.

The website uses HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SVG and embedded video, with WordPress and Elementor. Test environment: Windows and Chrome 152. Tools: axe-core, Accessibility Checker, accessible-name inspection and keyboard interaction tests. These checks do not replace testing with NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver.

Limitations and further work

Conformance of all videos, captions and descriptive alternatives has yet to be established. Articles explain their context and objectives, but this text is not necessarily a full transcript. Video players, anti-spam services and external documents may also have accessibility limitations.

A criterion-by-criterion manual audit, including screen-reader testing and review of media and documents, is still required. No disproportionate-burden exception or content exemption is claimed in this statement.

If a page prevents you from accessing information, please contact us so we can discuss another format. Email remains available without using the contact form or its anti-spam service.

Report a problem or request an alternative

Contact BLIND SYSTEMS at contact@blindsystems.org or use our contact form. Tell us which page is affected and what you want to do. Your browser or assistive technology can help us reproduce the issue, but providing this information is optional.

Reference and escalation
