BlindSentinel: track your digital exposure.
Public mentions, exposed accounts and reported data breaches: BlindSentinel brings these signals together to help understand changes in a digital footprint.
EXISTING TOOL / PLATFORM IN DEVELOPMENT
From collecting signals to tracking changes
An initial tool runs on Raspberry Pi. It queries several sources using configured identifiers, stores findings locally and produces text and HTML reports designed for screen readers. Later runs distinguish new findings from those already recorded.
What guides development
- Define an objective and an authorised scope
- Assess source provenance, freshness and reliability
- Make findings understandable and verifiable
- Distinguish signals, hypotheses and established facts
Status
A modular platform is being developed to extend this work to a person, organisation, domain or project. Its scope is defensive and authorised: public data or information supplied by the user, with no intrusion or authentication bypass. Source availability and reliability vary; a report supports investigation without guaranteeing exhaustive detection.
